1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425℉ (220℃). This high temperature is key to achieving those brilliantly fluffy biscuits.

2. Prepare the Baking Dish
Place the 1/2 cup of salted butter in a 9×13-inch baking dish. As the oven preheats, pop the dish into the oven to melt the butter—this will create a beautifully buttery base for your biscuits.

3. Mix the Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the 4 ½ cups of Bisquick and 1 cup of sour cream. Stir until the mixture is just combined.

Next, slowly add the 1 cup of 7-Up to the mix. Use a spatula or wooden spoon to gently fold in the soda, being careful not to overmix. The goal is to maintain the lightness – a few lumps are okay.

4. Form the Biscuits
Once the dough comes together, scoop out generous portions (about 1/4 cup each) and drop them onto the melted butter in the prepared baking dish. Space them slightly apart to allow for expansion as they bake.
