Honey Butter Sweet

A Southern-inspired delight, this pecan bread is packed with finely chopped pecans,
sweetened with both granulated and brown sugar,
and infused with the warm flavors of honey and vanilla.
The self-rising flour makes it easy to bake, and the result is a tender,
moist, and utterly irresistible loaf.
Ingredients:
2 cups pecans, finely chopped 🌰 (reserve some for topping, if desired)
1 ½ cups self-rising flour 🌾
1 cup granulated sugar 🍬
1 cup brown sugar 🍯 (packed)
1 cup vegetable oil 🛢️ (canola, vegetable, or light olive oil)
4 large eggs, beaten 🥚
1 teaspoon vanilla extract 🌿
¼ teaspoon salt 🧂 (optional, if you prefer a slightly saltier-sweet flavor)
¼ cup honey (plus extra for drizzling, if desired)
For the Honey Butter Glaze (Optional):
4 tablespoons (½ stick) unsalted butter, softened
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon milk or cream
½ cup powdered sugar
