Strawberry Shortcake Bliss

1️⃣ Bake the Shortcake:
🔥 Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease an 8-inch cake pan.
🌀 Mix dry ingredients; cut in butter until crumbly.
🥛 Whisk milk, egg, and vanilla, then combine with dry mix.
🧑‍🍳 Spread in pan and bake for 18-20 minutes. Cool on a rack.

2️⃣ Prepare the Berries & Cream:
🍓 Toss strawberries with sugar and let sit for 30 minutes.
🥄 Whip cream with confectioners’ sugar and vanilla until fluffy.

3️⃣ Make the Strawberry Drizzle:
🍯 Heat strawberry preserves with water until syrupy.

4️⃣ Assemble the Shortcake:
🔪 Slice cake in half, layer with whipped cream and strawberries.
✨ Add the top layer, more cream and berries, then drizzle with strawberry sauce.

5️⃣ To Serve:
Garnish with extra strawberries and a dusting of powdered sugar!
