1. Prepare the Base
In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar. Use a whisk or electric mixer to blend these ingredients together until the sugar is fully dissolved. This mixture should be smooth and creamy.
2. Add Flavor
Stir in the vanilla extract and passion fruit pulp. If you prefer a more intense passion fruit flavor, feel free to add a little more pulp! Mix until well incorporated.
3. Chill
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours. Chilling helps develop the flavors and ensures the ice cream has a smooth consistency.
4. Churn the Ice Cream
Once chilled, pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions. This usually takes about 25-30 minutes. The ice cream will become thick and creamy as it churns.
5. Freeze
Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container. Press a piece of parchment paper onto the surface to prevent ice crystals from forming. Freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
6. Serve and Enjoy!
