He previously hinted at the idea of running for a third time during a private House Republican meeting in November – just days after his election victory against Democratic representative and Joe Biden’s former VP, Kamala Harris.
He teased – according to the New York Times: “I suspect I won’t be running again, unless you say, ‘He’s so good we’ve got to figure something else out’.”
Also, Trump told told attendees (via The Guardian) at a National Rifle Association in May of last year: “I don’t know, are we going to be considered three-term or two-term? Are we three-term or two-term if we win?”.
